Backstory:
I don't own a WRX yet, because I wrecked my car, and got my license suspended, but I plan on getting a WRX in June when I get my license back.

Anyways, to the point I was laying in my bed with my girl talking and she challenged me that I couldn't get my Subaru in the 9's, within a year of having it. I said to her that if I do she has to buy me two cars, because I won't drive it then if I can get it into the 9's so I want another car. She said fine, we kept goin back and forth, she kept insulting my future car, and we got to the point where she has to get me 2 cars. I am begging everyone on this site to help me please prove her wrong and get my car into the 9's. I purposely didn't say much because I didn't want her to back out, but I am sure it is possible, I just want to make sure I don't do anything along the way to slow the process. Like getting one intake when another provides more horsepower.

P.S. I don't want to go the NOS way right off the bat, I prefer to use that as a last resort....

PLEASE EVERYONE WHO CAN HELP PLEASE HELP.

But get a ton of money,

Call a good Tuner, (Cobb, Vishnu, etc) and ask them what it will take to run 9s.

You are asking hundreds of folks here with differing opinions.

Also keep in mind the WRX is NOT a dragcar,.......It is a RALLYE car.

Good advice shotgun.

My $0.02. Call someone who has gotten the WRX inot 9's and find out from them what it will take. I am sure alot of people here will tell you that they can make it happen, but I don't think any of them honestly have.

In Jamaica, the have a WRX running 10.5. It actually set th 4 cylinder record there for about half an hour when the guy's brother (who has an Evo) ran a 10.4.

To my knowledge, the only 9 sec WRX's are in Australia and the only shop to do it is Rigoli Racing. Look them up.

Good luck. But you should made the bet for 10's

 

basically you're going to spend the price of about another wrx to get it into the 9s. and in doing so, you will probably lose a streetable / everyday wrx

 

ask her if she would settle for a 9 second 1/8 mile run...you should be able to pull that without spending too much more than the price of the car

but if she wont go for that...its gonna cost ya a couple(thousand) dollars

Lets's think this over now. It's going to cost you tons of cash, you won't be able to use the car for everyday driving and there has only been two people to bring there wrx's into the 9's.( Tony Rigoli and Easy Street) by the way Easy Street bought their motor from Tony so if you want to run 9's I suggest you call him.

The easy street wrx just hit 9's. Go check out ther site. They have the price up for the motor. I just remembered it cost more and as much as a new wrx. i thought easy street had the fastest ej20 wrx in N.A.? runs 10.57 secs, welpz have fun trying to beat that.

yeah i know, u should riview ur mistakes, so u won't be a hazard to urself and other drivers on the road. i don't know how fast ur previous cars is, but a 9 sec wrx migh just get u killed!

 

no kidding, the easy street wrx is hauling (i think) 740 hp (i think i may be wrong someone double check), at 30-38 psi and 60 shot of nitrous you better be able to handle that kind of stuff, the modding sounds like it wont be a problem, sounds like you gots lots of money, but the wrx on a stock engine safe boost level is at 16psi....soo ahaha you got alot of modding to do to your engine. the max h/p on stock internals is 350 max
