I remember that Clarion R33 GTR well.
It had Clarion satellite navigation system on board while running on LeMans 24 hrs, and i think the navigation screen was broadcasted on TV (maybe it was shown in on-board camera).
It just showed the car circling around the race track.
Of course it's for promotional purpose but I though that was the funniest equipment on road racing car.
Did the model have the navigation screen?

Man I wish that I could build models that didn't turn out like crap.
I am forced to stick to diecast. Currently I have 2-1/12, 197-1/18, and 48 1/24 diecast models. I used to have 4 1/24 scale carrea tracks that I got from etoys before they went out of bussness. Now I'm kicking myself in the *** for saleing them. So many new cars for this year.

yah, the trick is to get a decent air brush. unless you're painting
RC car bodies (clearones) from the inside, those plastic bodies are too small for the dripping large beads of spray from spray cans.
imo, if you use a brand new bottle of enamel, it turns out
better than spraycans. you can do one coat and get minimal
streaks. but nothing beats airbrush.

Definitely get an airbrush. Even those cheapy Testors plastic things that use a propane can for propelant. It will still turn out way better than a spray can. Also, most beginners make the mistake of overgluing everything. The glue is pretty reactive, so as long as you have a little on there thats still wet, it will stick well. Just finished an Opel GT, but gave it to dad, am working on 240Z. Will post pics when finished.

i have a 1:18 scale autoart 22b ordered, but due to that port strike it never even left china. so a month later, i still dont have it. :/

Here's a photo of (one of) my Impreza WRC's and my Peugeot 206 WRC.
BTW - those are REAL aluminum wheels on the Impreza!
I like the 206 much better (I had to use 3! kits to get the paint right - it's MetalMaster, buffed & clearcoated to simulate the paint Peugeot used that year.) Actually it was the clearcoat that was the problem. Imagine priming, painting, buffing, applying decals THREE times before getting it right! The clearcoat kept interacting somehow with the paint and the decals would then start dissolving. I finally realized that the clearcoat would have to go on in about 10 very light coats.
The Impreza is sitting in front of it's 1st place trophy...
