The Official Unoffical Cars You Hate Thread
Aww heck no es...don't hate on the V8 pony cars just cuz they can stomp our wrx's in the top end.
And at some future date there will be a lifted silverado next to my wrx. First priority is a car that hauls a** and the second in a truck that just hauls.
And yes for the record I realize that the statements I just made mean that I'm a huge redneck. I guess I can deal with that.

I dislike the pony cars because they have more power than handling. They come from the factory with a natural imbalance. When Hot Rod Magazine tested the STi vs. the Mustang Cobra they had no choice but to hand the handling to the STi. For $2130 less (as tested) the STi got better 1/4 mile and road course times as well as a better city mpg. It's simply superior engineering. Plus there are lots of jerks driving around in Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds. I live in the south and I see it every day.

I sense some anti-domestic vibes coming from these forums.. Xeno does not like.
I currently drive a Grand Am GT (Which I'm selling to be replaced by an Impreza L Wagon), am an avid Pontiac fan and love big loud V8's
Heavy front-wheel drive V8's? The only major front-wheel drive V8's that have been in production in the last hundred years have been Cadillacs. Cadillac's prime target isn't exactly speed. They need the V8 to haul all that luxury crap around. Every other V8 I've ever seen has been connected to the rear tires. It's not like Australia magically gave us the idea 'wow, lets make rear-wheel drive cars!' (Might want to take note: The ORIGINAL GTO)
Anyways, onto my most hated car:

I drove a 96 Grand Am GT before my wrx. It was a piece of crap. I, like you, do like domestics too, but that car fell apart every month like clockwork
The fact of the matter is, whether your car is domestic or foreign its gonna fall apart if you do not take care of it. I will admit older American cars for the most part were hunks of junk but from the past few years you can't say that. Yes focuses are out there falling apart but for the most part domestics are just as durable as foreign cars. I come from a household that only buys domestic cars (my dad makes fun of me for buying a Japanese car). There are two Saturns, a Chevy Silverado, and a Mercury van. All have fairly high mileage and have had no major problems. So stop knockin the domestics because they are making a comeback.

Every car has its personality. I know some Grand Am's are pieces of crap, but I beat the living *hit out of mine, I take very good care of it though, and it has given me virtually no problems at 140 thousand miles (and going). It's just people who bust on 'domestics' as a whole for stupid reasons that **** me off

I hear that man. I lived in Michigan for 16 years so I like em too. My dad worked for GM for 36 years. So I tend to like everything
lots of haterness
I hate cars that are too big and take up too much room on the road, the cars driven by people who go too fast and don't realize their car can't stop fast enough for the speeds they hit. The drivers who never use their turn signals when they cut right in front of you and just to slam on their brakes.
I especially hate a Chevy truck that has been parked across the street from my house while a construction crew works. The truck has six wheels, a lift, oversize tires on stock wheels, two big grills in front, and a license plate that reads TUFENUF. I could kill this damn fool, he parks the thing halfway in the middle of the street and almost NEVER uses the thing to haul anything. What a waste of gas and a waste of space! Also he called the police to say that I park my mini-truck for over three days in one parking place: what a butthead he's just envious that I own three cars and don't need a big phallic truck to be cool.
Also I don't like the Mercedes that's just not a drivers car, boring to drive and to look at. And the C class is not fast, it's just a joke

Wow, how could I forget the PT Cruiser, the most hateable cars to come out of Detriot in ages. So many people treat those cars like the "hot rods" the body shape is meant to evoke, but what an underpowered, stiff-handling piece of crap they are!

Big truck only means small weener if its not used. I can't stand trucks that are kept pretty. Trucks are made to have their guts kicked in and keep coming back for more. My dad had his 1983 chevy pick up until 1998 when he replaced it with a brand new silverado. The 83 had 320,000 miles and looked like hell but it lived like a truck should. The 98 silverado is taking the same beating and probably will be around for years to come.
On the other hand my brothers baseball coach is a huge goober. He drives a late 90's Ford F350 dualie, crew cab and it looks like its never seen a day of work in its life. The paint in the bed is flawless which means it hasnt hauled much and it doesnt even have a hitch to tow stuff. I used to see the guy using it to commute to work. Thats the kind of truck owner I hate.
