Nissan recently made an announcement that the coveted Japan-only Skyline, (as noted in the movie, 2 Fast, 2 Furious), Will be available to US customers!!! 2005 is the estimated time of release, and there will only be 500 available to the general public until 2006, when they will be mass-produced.
About that...
Bear in mind that we in essence already have the skyline. The Infiniti G35 is quite similar to the new age Japanese Skyline. If it does debut, it will not be the R32, 33, 34 that one usually envisions as the Japanese super-car. I wouldn't suggest getting our hopes up an enormous amount.

The "skyline" (current version) is currently sold in the US as the Infiniti G35. In japan, this is called the skyline. I have heard this news too but as TVA said, you will not be able to get the R32, 33 or 34 as those are all out of production. THis would be a brand new model called simply the "GT-R" from what my friends father who owns multiple nissan dealerships said. THe engine used is still unknown

Yeah, I've heard it will just be called the "Nissan GT-R". I believe that it will be turbocharged, not sure if it's actually an RB26DETT or not. I want to see pictures, see how much it looks like the GT-R concept shown a year or so back....
Seriously though, it's about damned time...

Its gonna look like the G35, maybe with some special body mods but nothing too different. We can only hope that it'll be the RB26 but whatever it is its a step in the right direction

I also heard that the vq may be the engine of choice, but it would be fairly easy to swap the engines, and their very well could be a se edition with a rb26....not saying anything else....
