Isn't the wr1 more powerful than a standard sti (seriously I don't know)? And isn't that what they tested?? Obviously i'm touching something very sensitive for you to become so defensive and saying "stfu" I really wish you could look at this more openly and stop telling people (me) to "pull your head outta your ***." Seriously, look at my originaly post, i never said anything offensive, you really are amazing to get so worked up and throwing a fit over this. I for one will stay off of this thread if it's only going to start a fight. GROW UP!

Ideally yes, drive train layout and HP/Torque should all be "close" for a comparison.

Both cars are great, but plain and simple, the Evo is the "ricer" of Japanese performance, the same as the Camaro is the "mullet special" of American Muscle.
Now, take your own advice and GROW UP.

It's the one in Sport Crapact Car, Stupid Street Magazine, and all those other little jerk-off ricer publications. The STi rarely gets any press in any of them, and I prefer it that way. It makes my issue of SubieSport that much more special to read when it shows up in the mail.

The Evo is highly overrated and is "rice" if you ask me very untasteful.
The Evo looks like a econobox to me.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Evo, but all I'm saying is that it's a ricer's wet dream. The ricers love the Evo, period.
I personally think they're both excellent machines, but I chose the one that I liked more. There are reasons that people choose STis over Evos and it's not because of a large price difference.
It's perfectly clear to me that both machines have something to offer their fans and owners, whether it be acceleration, styling, brand loyalty, etc. I chose my STi because I have simply always loved the STi, and Subaru has a wonderful reliability record.
Then again, I could go on and on about why I chose the STi over the Evo, and I'm sure an Evo owner could go on and on about why he/she chose the Evo over the STi.
I have always love Subaru's in general. The WRX's and STI's are my favorite.
Subaru seems to have alot to offer.I was never really a "EVO FAN" and in my
opnion the STI has alot more style and looks than the EVO.The squared
look of the EVO is just not my cup of tea that is all.
I agree the reliability of a Subaru is very good.

I don't know ANY Camaro owners with mullets, the same as I don't know ANY ricers with Evos.

The cars are very similar in profile but I've just found the STi's softer lines to look more "professional." The STi looks very aggressive as well, that is, until it's sitting directly next to an Evo, IMO. However the side profile definitely goes to the STi, same as the rear profile.
I could be happy with either one, provided that Mitsubishi's reliability was as good as Subaru's.

I worked at a Mitsubishi dealership in the past sorry to say
and the service department lot was full of EVO's with all kinds
of problems and issues I seriously wouldn't know where to begin.
I had a insider one of my friends is still working their. He told me
that the Subaru STI's are alot more reliable if you keep up on your
maintenance. He told me that the EVO's worse issues was transmission
failure. They don't hold up well under major stress for long.
In my opinon the Subaru STI is a all around better car but, to each his own.

but its kinda wierd when people talk
and just skip lines rather then letting the wrap
automaticly go down to the next line.
