New Cars with Altezza Lights

Why don't companies realize they are 4 years to late on putting them on cars, i always hated them, but for little while they were cool and they faded out, now it seems like every car company is starting to put them on their new cars...The new nissans have them, the Mazda 6 has them, some ford have them..WTF??? what the deal with that?? Are designers so clueless as to what is going on in the car industry?? Aren't they supposed to do research on every little thing??
If they did do reasearch they would realize that the altezza lights are no longer popular, they havent been for like 2 years now!

Those of us with 2 cents worth of knowledge about cars know that aftermarket Altezzas are a poor investment (not just aesthectically inadequate but also commonly poor quality that could lead to safety and/or maintenance issues in the future). However, most lil kiddies and ricers (yep I'm gonna use that word cuz I'm Asian ) don't know better or truly feel that "IsH mAd ToiTe y0!" Therefore, we all know that auto manufacturers are for the most part behind the times and trends(with a very few highly important exceptions), and thus for the most part don't realize that those who can afford new cars (especially sportier ones) now dislike Altezzas. Give it a few more years and when sales sag (we wish hehe), auto manufacturers will realize like we do that Altezzas have much suck
Maybe there'll be a ricey trend to "revert back" to standard rear light assemblies when Altezzas come stock

the best altezza I've seen is black housing on black 95-00 integras, they looks really stocky. definetely a clean look. the worst is mustang, and Lighting SVT, or any american car actually.

off topic

While cowl induction sure looks good on the '70 Chevelle and "69 Camero. as well as the late '70's Trans-Am's pseudo cowl (shaker scoop) and '85 Mustang among others, the carbon fibre cowl induction hood for WRX's with FMIC's looks beautiful. (I had a beter photo of a diferent one but it's too big.)
