new 5 series bimmer
any body seen one on the streets yet?? Ive seen a few, one at a dealer and two on the streets. It really looks alot better than i expected, the trunk lines are not as bad as the pictures and the front end looks great. Ive seen spy photos of the new e60 m5 (which is the new body style) and it looks really really nice. Please share your sightings and opinions on the new e60 5 series

From: my home is Portland but I'm @ School in Seattle
Car Info: 1998 Subaru Legacy L 5-speed
I just saw the back of one in Seattle when I was headed to the A.F.I. concert at the paramount (which was AWESOME). It looked really big to me, not much like a bimmer, a big jump from the last 5 series. However I found it strangely attractive and I cant wait for the next M5 (and the return of the M6!). Should be cool. Where are those spie pics you saw?

Those black wheels do look pretty nice. I really doubt the production version of the car will come with black wheels tho, i really cant think of any car that does(besides the wheels under hub caps) Ive never used the i-drive system before. Ive heard it takes alot of getting used to before you start to like it
I saw a new 6-series the other day in Santa Barbara....
I know you think I'm full of it cause theyre not out yet but it was there and looked SWEET!
way better than it looks in pictures. I'd buy that, especially the M6 . I hope they put the 12-cyl from the 7 series
but I think the 5 series look just OK and the 7 series look like a whale

does anybody actually experienced this i-drive system. i read in some mags that its complicated and what not but once you get use to it, it could be handy. i got myself an old e23 5 speed(85' 735i), which is just plain fugly, but for now it takes me from a to b so i cant complain much. anyways i seen a couple of new 5's on the street and from what i saw i thought they were pretty bad ***. the headlights are a bit different but for some reason i love em'
