More demographics, if you all are willing,
Hey fellas, would any of you guys be willing to answer a couple of questions about yourselves for a documentary I’m putting together? Just a couple of random facts that I’m hoping to compile in hopes of getting some demographical information on the custom car “scene”. I appreciate it guys, and if you’d be willing to answer further questions or have questions for me, I can be reached at jordan@pickmatrix.com
It looks like there are some talented, dedicated, and interesting people here, and that’s also the target audience.
How old are you?
Since what age have you been attending car shows?
Have you ever showed a vehicle in a car show? How many times? What vehicles?
What is your education?
Where are you from?
If you had to describe your ethnicity, what would it be?
How much money did you invest into your car this year?
How much do you intend to invest next year?
Is there a particular style of vehicle/show that you prefer?
What’s the longest distance you’ve traveled to a show?
What do you drive?
Are there any particular makes/models that you prefer?
Are there brand names that you prefer when it comes to performance parts and accessories?
What would you say the most common vehicle is at any particular show?
What else interests you?
What would you want to see in documentary/TV show about car shows and auto tuning?

How old are you?- 21
Since what age have you been attending car shows?- 15
Have you ever showed a vehicle in a car show? How many times? What vehicles?-Yes. Just once. 1987 Ford Mustang 5.0 fully restored 450 hp and I still own and love it.
What is your education?- In college
Where are you from?- Marin County(Novato)
If you had to describe your ethnicity, what would it be?- whitey
How much money did you invest into your car this year?- $2,000
How much do you intend to invest next year?- same
Is there a particular style of vehicle/show that you prefer?- I like all kinds, Euro, Japanese, Ameri. It's all cool.
What’s the longest distance you’ve traveled to a show?- 60 miles
What do you drive?- 02 WRX, 87 5.0, 1990 Porsche 944 S2
Are there any particular makes/models that you prefer?-As long as it performs with solid styling I like anything. But Subarus are the sh*t!
Are there brand names that you prefer when it comes to performance parts and accessories? Not really, as long it is a proven name with good reviews is enough for me
What would you say the most common vehicle is at any particular show? Muscle Cars
What else interests you?- Music, sports and (Subies-it has become an obsession really)
What would you want to see in documentary/TV show about car shows and auto tuning?- Subaru and the engineering that is behind one needs to be talked about more. I realy believe in the cars that they manufacture. Where else can you pay between $25,000-$32,000 for an out of the box race car that can compete with cars that cost possibly 3x as much as an WRX or of course and STi(I)

Almost 20
Since as long as I can remember with my dad.
Yes, I have shown multiple cars at various car shows, mainly classics from the 40's and 50's.
Home schooled by my parents and took the GED when I was 14 and passed with flying colours. I have taken a few other post-high school classes off and on.
Born in Alamo, CA, and moved to northern CA and then Idaho, and been back and forth from Idaho and Alamo for the past 4 years.
caucasian
(Invest? I'm not getting my money back out of it so I wouldn't call it much of an investment.) I have spent approximately $5,000-$6,000.
Probably about the same amount.
Classic cars, mainly sponsored by 'Goodguys.'
800 miles
2003 Subaru WRX wagon
Are there any particular makes/models that you prefer? Anything that goes fast with style.
As long as it works well for my application, I have no preference.
It depends on the show.
Bicycles and motorcycles, camping, hacky sack, pretty much anything active and outdoors.
Maybe the future of cars or things we don't know about such as alternative fuel burnig cars and conversions.
