I hope to god they find Mc Laren guilty! I find it verrrrry fishy that for several seasons they just suck, have horrible reliability, can't finish a race for an entire season and now with a pair of new drivers they're completely turned around and 100% better. It just doesn't jive with me, and thats not just because I'm a Ferrari follower.

Of course, the Ferrari uses 1/10th of a litre more gas than the McLaren so Bush has CIA field officers rig the Mclaren with a drag coefficient spray there by reducing its wind resistance causing it to use more fuel. This caused a decrease in performance thereby influencing McLaren to seek changes via the winning Ferrari team. Now their car uses more fuel which in turn puts money in the pockets of Saudi Arabia who by the way owns more Ferrari products per capita than any other country. Since this helps Ferrari sell cars in Saudi Arabia it increases their economy thereby helping support their government which controls the largest oil reserve in the world and a huge friendly launch area for military operations in the middle east. There you have it.

And there you have it. Nothing is going to happen to McLaren.

The WMSC is satisfied that Vodafone McLaren Mercedes was in possession of confidential Ferrari information and is therefore in breach of article 151c of the International Sporting Code. However, there is insufficient evidence that this information was used in such a way as to interfere improperly with the FIA Formula One World Championship. We therefore impose no penalty.

"But if it is found in the future that the Ferrari information has been used to the detriment of the championship, we reserve the right to invite Vodafone McLaren Mercedes back in front of the WMSC where it will face the possibility of exclusion from not only the 2007 championship but also the 2008 championship.

The WMSC will also invite Mr Stepney and Mr Coughlan to show reason why they should not be banned from international motor sport for a lengthy period and the WMSC has delegated authority to deal with this matter to the legal department of the FIA.

Yeah I just got done reading that article
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2007/7/6539.html

I am very pissed. Here's my explanation from a convo with another friend

Well isn't this some horse crap!

Never mind their designer stole the info and even if they didn't use it...wtf?? NO PENALTY??? Thats f'in BS! The most McLaren gets is a little warning saying if they are found to use ANYTHING from Ferrari on their car they could be kicked out of the championship race for 07 and fully for 08. Stepney and Coughan are going to show their case in front of the FIA and explain why they shouldn't be banned from the sport for an undetermined amount of time. This really pisses me off...not just as a Ferrari fanatic, but the fact of the matter that intellectual property was stolen from a team and in the posession of another. McLaren AND Coughan should have some sort of punishment delivered!!!

/end rant.
