Mazdaspeed MX-5 Miata

The new Mazdaspeed Miata:

Starting at $25,000 msrp

The heart of the MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata is the fully integrated IHI turbocharger with 8.5 psig boost, combined with a Denso tube-fin air-to-air intercooler, all showcased with a red wrinkle-finish valve cover. Add a retuned exhaust, a modified head and camshaft, and beefed-up cooling and engine mounting systems, and the overall package results in 178 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque. The legendary Miata 6-speed gear box has been massaged with new gear ratios, a stronger clutch and propeller shaft, and a shot-peened treatment to the linkage for even more precise shifting.

Putting the power to the ground are light-weight 17-inch silver-finish Racing Hart alloy wheels wrapped by low profile Toyo Proxes R28 205/40R17 80W-rated tires. Behind the Racing Hart's slender spokes are silver-painted brake calipers on all four disc brakes. Unseen is the beefing up of the front and rear stabilizer bars to 23 mm and 14 mm, respectively.

Joining the wheels on the MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata exterior are smoke-finished headlights, a unique rear spoiler, and black vinyl or cloth convertible top. On the inside, there's a 225-watt 6-speaker BoseŽ audio system with a 6-disc CD changer. You'll find the steering wheel, gearshift **** and parking brake lever all wrapped in black leather with red stitching, as well as silver instrument panel gauges, alloy foot pedals, unique dash surface materials and other MAZDASPEED trim pieces.

The MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata is available in Velocity Red Mica or Titanium Gray Metallic, with your choice of black cloth seats with red inserts, or black leather seats with red stitching.

thats an incredible machine, i really like that baby, imagine what a beast of a handler that will be, and a factory turbo = good power modding!

The Miata's handling has always shined. It just needed more power. Now that it's got it. Talk about a balanced car. I bet it would be a good choice for an auto-xer. And with it's power to weight ratio, I bet it scoots.

Looks like a fun car w/ a lot of potential...

1st mod - upgrade to a bigger FMIC - the stock one looks funny. Like it's missing some teeth LOL

It is definatly worthy now. Look how tiny the FMIC is on it. I can see bigger ones being designed as we speak.
