I think all of us, even the straight laced "I never speed" people have opened our cars up on a deserted road at least once, just for the thrill. No shame there.

150 is a dream for me though. I got my 2.5TS up to 115 on a country back road in the early am and it scared the poop out of me.

I haven't had the time to max out my WRX, but i've gone about 140, and my WRX sounds like an airplane too when I get to those speeds, it is a beautiful piece of music I'd have to say.

Did 120 in my wrx wagon, but it wasn't pulling fast enough for me to wait and find out where it would stop pulling. Yeah and it was super loud - I guess its not the most aerodynamic vehicle out there.

I've only hit 105 in my car. Not that that's safe, but 150 is just too fast for public roads =\

I have yet to be on a road open enough for me to feel safe over 110. Maybe if I lived out west I'd find a road where I could go late at night at find the top speed of my wrx. Back east wherever I am on long straight roads good for high speeds there are still cars out no matter what time it is.

Yeah, who cares about those 1/4 mile times - it's not a dragster

140ish on stock 03 WRX (3:00am California Highway). It pulls nicely up to 125-130 and then it took me forever to get it to 140. I guess WRX is just not the most aerodynamic car out there...

Well my lowely little MY02 2.5 has been maxed out at 127 or wherever they say that the redline catches you. My parents Mercedes CLK on the other hand? 140ish and it was still quiet and peaceful inside. Damn German engineering!
