If you owned your car...

I just recently got the title for my car (2001RS) and I have been debating on selling it for an '04 WRX.
What should I do?!
What would my monthly payments be if I put 10k down on a completely base model WRX?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

WRX!!

Your payment will depend on the length of the loan and interest, of course. For example, a 5 year at 3% is $251.56 per month. A 3 year at 3% is $407.14 per.

EDIT: In case you don't know how to figure that out, open up your pirated Microsoft Excel, type in "=pmt(" - no quotes. Then type your yearly interest rate divided by 12 (Ex. a 3% apr goes in like 0.03/12) then a comma, then how many payments (Ex. a 5 year loan goes in like 60) then a comma, then your negative principal (Ex. $24k car minus your $10k down payment goes in like -14000) then close the parenthases.

You can fiddle with the percentage and term then to compare your choices.

I just recently got a 04 base model wrx. I put 10k down on mine for 3 years. Interest is at 2.9% and my monthlys are 437.18. I also got the car for 23k and some change. Hope that helps.

Keep the RS. There is nothing better than not having to make monthly car payments.

Goto www.online-loan-calculator.com to figure it out.
I got my car for 23k as well and put nothing down on a 5 year loan, and had to pay 450 a month. Instead of paying minimum payments, I sold my soul to the man and came over here to Kuwait and paid my car off in 3 months

If you got 10k for a down payment, i would love to suggest an ej20 swap, hell, get it stroked to 2.2 like suby dude, more power, less weight, no payments

Having had the privilage to drive an 02' wrx and an 04' STi, i would have to say they are very high on the attention factor to normal people, but GC8's with wrx engines are in my opinion still the most badass subies out on the road.

IMO, keep the RS. Then save more $$$ until you have enough to buy a new WRX with cash. This way, you'll not be paying someone else interest. Also, there's always something newer in the pipeline...

Thumbs up

Keep the RS. It's a rare car which is much nicer looking than the new WRX. Invest your money and in 5 years you will have a lot more to show for it than a used car.
