Help with my other car...

So I have a 2001/00 Honda Civic that has been sitting in my parents garage for oh two years or so. No one has ever started it or anything. It broke down and I never had the money or inclination to fix it. Now as gas prices keep going higher and higher, I have a very GOOD reason to fix it.

What I know that is wrong; the alternator is going bad, the radiator has a leak, the driver side window won't roll up, and the transmission leaks (not badly but it does leak a little). So what do I do to get this car up and running. I am a total noob when it comes to these things so any advise would be awesome! Whats a good place to buy cheap parts as well. I don't want to get raped at a dealership.

Thats what I was guessing and what a friend of mine told me. Im just worried of getting scammed and don't trust myself enough to do the work. Thank you though for the information. :bananen_smilies091:

if its been sitting, id also flush all fluids, check brakes and check all visible electrical wires. make sure no wires have been chewed or anything. for a 01 civic, parts should be pretty cheap.

Ok changed the alternator and everything else. The car runs but the belts are squeeling. Any ideas how to fix that?
