Hey folks. I am a DSMer by birth but haverecently opened my own performance company and want to learn more about the subaru world. I want to know a little of everything so ill do be doing quite a bit of readin on this board but i have on question in particular.
Here goes.... in the earlier 2.5 RS body style (late 90's) i know it came in a NA model but was wonderin what it takes for me to install a JDM EJ20? I would kind of like to build a rally shop car and thought what better way to go than a hollowed out impreza. so basically i was wonderin if any what years is this doable with? how hard is it? so if guys get a chance please fill me in here.

There're some folks on this board that have done the EJ20 swap into the GC8 body, but I can't remember off the bat who they are. You should try posting this in a section that gets more traffic though. Best of luck! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

 

i'm not sure, but i think the user name rsturbo has a ej20 in his car. well i know it's a turbo hahah...

www.i-speed.com one of those guys over there, andrew, or andy or another guy are known through otu the country for doin conversions

 

Thats a very easy swap as the same chassis in Japan came with EJ20s in WRX and STi Form.
