hey im wondering what would be the better choice the sti or g35.

The new G35 coupe looks great. Subtle changes, but they work very well. I don't think you can go wrong with either car.

They're both pretty close, I'd say the STi is probably a little faster though.

 

Being that I have driven several G35's, I can tell you that it really depends what you are looking because they are two completley diferent beasts. The G35 is a sports sedan that is refined with a lot of technolgy and many luxury features but performs alright under fast paced enviorments but not as good as an STi. The G35 like the 350Z(same platform, same VQ V6 motor, drivetrain etc.) is rated at 307 hp and clocks in the 1/4 at 14.1 and the STi's brother, the WRX(and the Forester XT) is faster 0-60 than the Z and G35. So obviously the STi has the G35 on acceleration based on 0-60(4.5-4.7 sec.) and 1/4 mile(13.3-13.6) times. As far as handling goes I felt more confident in the G35 in it's AWD form, I think it's standard on the coupe but optional on the 4 door sedan. The Imprezas are well known for understeer but I think the STi has more potential to be a better handling car than the G35 in my opinion. So it comes down to is what I said before, they are so differnt in so many ways. Do you want a naturaly aspirated V6 with leather, heated seats and all the other bells and whistles we all know about? Or do you want a pure performance car that lacks all those things but with a superior AWD system with a turboed H-4 that has a lot more aftermarket options to makes it a hell of alot better than it comes from the factory. I know I'm rambling but the STi is a much better sports car than the G for obvious reasons. The G35 is alot better luxury car for obvious reasons too. Get the STi I love mine.

 

^^^what he said and the g35 will probably cost close to 40k. i was contemplating between the g35, 350z, evo, and the STi when I was looking for a new car. I ended up with an STi and i've never regretted it.

Ahhh these were the very same questions I asked myself. G35 or STi.

Well STi won out for me, Yes the G35 is sleeker and what not, but to me its the new honda civic. The reason I say this. I looked at all the people who used to own honda civics when I was younger, and now they all own teh G35. That right there was enough to turn me off the G35. Besides I didnt want to show up to a friends house and have like 6 G35's in the area. Im the one friend that always has to be different. LOL.

 

l0l i feel you thats why i want a g35 or sti where i stay at every1 like muscle cars but you do see alot more g35s on the road i am also likin the g35 bcuz it will pull way more females yah kno l0l

 

Im asian, so yah... every asian person with a decent income in the bay area has either C-class benz, 3-series BMW, or the ones trying to be different the G35. Yes I like all the above mentioned cars, but im just not ready to that atypical. Besides the STi is pretty ****ing fun to drive, I can get my "luxury" car later.

And yes you prolly will pull more girls with the G35 than then STi. Either way though I dont think you can go wrong with either choice. Its just going to be harder to get the HP with the G35.
