Probably the biigest advantage to a FMIC is the amount of air that can enter... with a TMIC you have a lot more limited supply of air into the engine.

Seems that would make a lot more sense at least from all the research I've been doing. The only advantage i see is that there is less of a chance of breaking the top mounted 'cooler if you run into something.

like he said, less of a pressure drop and it will have less turbo lag

front mounts are also tricky to have in the US and still pass crash tests...they have to alot of extra engineering
