forbes spanks the evo
Hey All,
Forbes came out with this year's "turkeys," bestowing the dubious distinction on the evo, giving "a two-star side-impact rating for the front seat, meaning a 21% to 25% chance of serious injury in a collision."
I think the debate is over.

Judging that forbes writes some good articles about the business industry and some great car articles in the past, i would say they do know thier stuff. They are a well published and popular mag.

When they build a sports car call me. Otherwise saying the Evo is crap based on crash test ratings is garbage.
I know they write some informative articles but trust me they are no automotive authority I would know I am a subscriber for other reasons!!!!!

I agree that they are not the best source of auto knowledge, but last time I checked, Car & Driver never built a car. Either does automible mag. We do tend to listen to them based on thier car knowledge however. I think forbes has done their research. I think the Evo is crap because of its poor quality and cheap interior which is also die to its lack of quality. The poor crash test seems to further add to my opinion. After all, thats what it boils down to with each magazine. Maybe they are Suby owners, who knows. But I think they are pretty smart guys that i generally agree with.

I don't like Car and Driver either. Also I would not subscribe to Forbes if it was not a good magazine but I do not take their points on cars to thought. Even though I drive a Subaru I would never down the Evo for no reason. Last time I checked the Evo vs STi/WRX battle that was held ended with Evo whooping serious butt and teh Suby guys scratching their heads. The car has an outstanding engine platform to start with and handling that just craps on a Suby in every way. The car is a pure bread race car for the streets. Reguardless of the voided warrenty and shady dealers the Car is a beast if you know what your doing and not a pos like so many think it is. I have an Evo 3 engine in my garage right now that I am slowly building and I have several videos of a 2.2L Evo destroying our prized Subys in the time attack. I love the Evo but I love my suby more on the same note I will never underestimate my rival in any sense reguardless of someones opinion.
