Developed during this year in the Ferrari Corse Clienti department (i.e. Racing Clients), the 575 GTC is based on the privateer GT-class racing cars. The 6.0-liter V12 reaches 600 hp and the front and rear tracks are wider than on a standard 575M. Truly a race-ready piece built on commission at a rate of 25 per year max, the suspension and all aerodynamic add-ons are adjustable. Composites are used throughout to lower weight, while the chassis is tubular steel in boxed sections for rigidity. The 575 GTC races at the end of this year in both Europe and North America.

i bet it'd be a hell of a race though, i don't think that the Ferrari would just spank the Lambo outright.

 

I wonder how well it compares to the Prodrive 550 Maranello GTS race car. Which has been spankin' Corvette *** for the past two seasons at Le Mans and in the ALMS.

 

i think that this is probably a more potent car than the 550 Prodrive Marenello, simply because the 550 was built by Prodrive for endurance racing. when you're going for 12/24 hours straight, you can't tune the car to the ragged edge like you can for sprint racing.

oh, and i think that the C5 corvettes beat the crap out of Ferrari this season. i know that they had the driver's championship wrapped up before the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta, and that Ferrari had to sweep the podium to win the constructors championship.
