Evo 9

Just saw this. Ed says it's been out for about 6 months. The website has some spec's on it.

I dunno.... with Subaru's next STI having more power and a much better suspension than the current model, I think the EVO will loose more ground to the STI.

It is a sexy car tho.

The new STi may be better in performance and what not, but it's still UGLY.

Are they going to have more power?

I WISH we'd have seats like that in our sti's

God I hate the sti's seats.. I SWIM in the damn things...lol

If nothing else maybe even an option to beable to switch to different seats that are more bolstering and hold the skinny guys....

The Evo 9 will be better than the previous models in terms of performance. They added MIVEC to the motor (+10hp to 286hp) and new shorter gear ratios in the tranny so this will be the fastest Evo yet. (like each Evo has been from the car before)

I like the new front bumper. Looks a lot better rather than the rounded looking thing on the Evo 8. square car + round bumper doesn't work.

Too bad we won't get the JDM rear bumper with the diffuser.

The 06 STI has 311 lb/ft of torque and 280hp on the 2.0 litre japanese version, so I assume the 2.5 US version would have more. I could be wrong.

To answer the other response, yes the Subarus are ugly. Part of the reason I like them are the "what the hell is that thing" comments I get from the red necks where I live

Well, not like the Evos look very special themselves. To most normal people it just looks like a 4 door sedan with a big spoiler.

If anyone quotes this, measures to make you 'disappear' will be taken.

I like that picture of the yellow evo.
