Detroit Motor Show Camaro unveiled

Anyone seen the shots on CNN of the Chevrolet Camaro prototype that was unveiled at the DMS?

What do you all think?

I think I like the looks of the Dodge Challenger better.

thanks alot Ford! with the debut of the new rustang it looks like the big 3 are going retro with their new designs.....I think its gay, they seem to be going backwards in the progress department.

When the new 99 mustang was debuted, i loved it, it was the best design yet, imo. Now with the new 05 retro-stang, their styling has gone completely ***-backwards, not to mention the worst interior ever in a stang.

That camaro is horrible..... the charger is much better, but I still don't like the direction that the car companies are taking with their "new" designs.

If they want to make a retro car, how about a new school '50 Merc? or Model A?

I like them in a nostalgia sense...it's cool to see what the new take on an old design is...but agree that there should be progression in a cars evolution.

Like the Corvette, always moving forward with design.

It's a much better looking car than the previous generation Camaro, but I still think it looks ugly - and I've always liked the '67 Camaro.

It's not really ugly. But I still wouldn't drive one.

I'd rock it hard. It's faster and gets better gas milage than a suby, what's not to like?

I love the styling of the newest Mustang. It looks great. However, I sat in one at the Baltimore Auto Show last week and was totally unimpressed. What a cheap piece of crap of an interior. All the materials felt very cheap, and the "speaker grills" on the door felt like they were ready to break.

As for the Camaro, I will DEFINITELY be buying one IF GM puts it into production. I'll save for the 2010 model year because I never buy a car in its first year or two of production.

The Challenger? It's awesome too, but I hear the curb weight will be rounding near 3900-4000 lbs! Sorry, that won't cut it.

For the record, if the Camaro weighs more than 3400 lbs, I regretfully won't be owning one of those either.
