Oh and another thing I am not a neon basher I myself traded my neon in for a 02 WRX and it was modded pretty far and the only problem I had outta my neon was the front driver side suspension and my neon had bout 80 k on it when I traded it in and it was a 98 R/T so I am not a neon basher I just don't think that someone should call another car that is in the same performance category as it is gay for no apparent reason just my .02 tho

well thats like saying and srt with a stage 1performance upgrade could eat a wrx with a boost controller and an ecu for lunch, say somehting a littlemore intelligent, both cars are upgradeable, but you have to admit the srt and wrx stock for stock the srt comes out ahead.

No question the SRT is the best bang for the buck out there right now, I think we oughta give it a little respect, that being said, I'd still rather have my WRX, straight line performance and dyno runs arent everything in a car

does it really matter how fast an SRT or a WRX can go? and why does everyone have to keep bashing the both of them? they are in completely different categories! sure they are both turbocharged, ,but the SRT is a frint wheel drive car, and the WRX is a four wheel drive car (which you probably already knew), so instead of compariing the WRX to an SRT why doesn't someone compare it to Lancer Evolutions? and the same thing with the SRT, why doesn't someone compare it to the mazdaspeed protege, or a civic, ,or sentra or something else that is front wheel drive? who cares which one is faster or looks better, it doesn't matter what you own, some idiot is going to make fun of it. so instead of trying to impress people with " Well my14,000hp SRT can run the 1/4 mile under 3 seconds with a thousand pounds of boost." or "My 5,000hp WRX can eat tons of SRT's for breakfast and lunch and still be hungry later." why doesn't every one just buy 1.8L impreza L's and be done with it! no one really makes fun of them, no one brags about them, and they are cheap!

I bet the power is nice, and if all u want is cheaper straight line than the wrx thats cool. I havent seen any of them on the street though. I look forward to racing one if i ever wind up next to it.

Shouldn't we just support people interested in doing up cars, no matter what is getting done up? would you rather have people not doing up neons and cavaliers and things like that, and driving SUV's instead? i personally would rather see a bunch of done up GEO metros or riced out Honda insights instead of seeing chevy avalanches or cadillac escalades or ford expeditions on the street. and anyways, why are we upset the someone called WRXs gay? do they really matter anyways? i mean, are they making or lives miserable by saying something that no one cares about? i mean, oh no! someone likes something other than a WRX!!!! how can this be??!! what is wrong with this world, people like other cars other than subarus??? who really cares? this is pathetic, i thought people who drove subarus were normal, oh well, guess not everyone....

I actually like the SRT-4's though. I don't think I could bring myself to buy one because I can't stand driving FWD in the turns, but still, I like their straight line potential.

I can't think of a fraction of cars out there that are faster than my WRX. Throw mods into the equation and anything can beat my car. Gimmie a VW bus and $30k and I'll whoop every WRX here with 10 friends in the back. So what.

I would assume a significant amout of people on here own a Subaru and it's damn near pointless to tell them they bought the wrong car (if that's the case)... they allready did.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I bought my WRX first and foremost for the AWD. I wouldn't trade that for anything! Someone call me when they throw another motor in the trunk of the SRT to get those extra two wheels rolling.

hey, I just test drove a srt4 last week, no bad comments here. I think it pulled pretty dam hard in second gear compared to our rex's. Doesn't change a thing. I got my awd the better looks and handling. Only comparison is the 1/4 mile time. Anyone can mod their car for better time slips. Personally I think our interior is hella better than the neon's. Those seats were made for skinny small guys that weigh less than 140lbs. I'm not super big, but it was pretty dam snug in those seats!
