Best car made today? MB S600
Hey all,
I submit that the Mercedes Benz S600 is the best all-around car made today. It has luxury, size, cargo room, can haul people, a good sound system, electronic everything, and, best of all, a friggin' 493 hp 590 lb-ft engine! 5.5 liter twin-turbo V12, and the max torque is available from 1800-3600 RPM.
This beast goes form 0-60 in 4.6 seonds! I'm drooling!

Downsides? Starts around 120 grand and makes 13 MPG. But if I could afford it, I'd buy one in a heartbeat....

Bimmer M5
Does all of the above for about 40 grand less. Not quite the power, but just as fast and comes with a real transmission. If you want to talk sedan anyway. Best wagon is the RS6, best coupe is the 911 Carrera4 (mortal people don't need the turbo to use 100% of their skill) and best GT is Ferrarri 575M Maranello.
Not that I have the cheddar to even have wet dreams about those cars, let alone drive them. Purely my cumulative knowledge from voracious consumption of aficianado opinion. Closest I will come will be the M3 which will be my next purchase. In about 8 years.
