This week's Autoweek carried an extensive article on the Mitsubishi Evo 8. No hint or mention of the STi lurking in the wings. I look forward to seeing the STi given equal treatment and ultimately a comparo after both machines are in production. If the new Evo is a 5.0 car and weighs more than the Sti (which certainly looks likely) the Sti should be something like a 4.7 second car -- but more importantly able to selectively deliver the power to the rear wheels in a selectable fashion. The Sti would make a great One Lap car if they have a lot of rain this year (please!) but it will not be available in time.
