I was watching Motortrend today and they were giving advice for ladies and I could not believe what I heard. "Even if your car calls for High octane you can run regular 87 new cars are designed to run on lower octane fuel without damage" WHAT!!! Bad acvice in my opinion.

 

Advice for ladies??? Sounds sexist to me. Pretty bad, but i think guys wouldn't fall for that

They're right.

Cars from the factory have different maps too. This is so any moron who accidently fills up with 87 won't blow their engine. You simply won't have the same performance.

not really. depends how the car is driven. but most non FI engines can last even one low oct. gas.

 

Yes this works, use 87 octane in your WRX/Sti. When the engine starts making knocking noises, that's the computer telling it to adjust to the gas. Enjoy!!

 

I think you are talking about Motorweek...I was thinking the same thing when I saw that.
