At Jaunary's 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Porsche will unveil a limited-edition Boxster S model intended to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the famed 550 Spyder. This special edition—production of which is limited to 1953 units to commemorate the 550 Spyder's introduction at the 1953 Paris Motor Show—features a 264-horsepower version of the 3.2-liter horizontally opposed six (up 6 horses from the standard Boxster S). It's good enough to push this "50 Years of the 550 Spyder" Boxster from 0 to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 165 mph. Other enhancements include a more aggressive suspension calibration, five-millimeter spacers on all four wheels, standard eighteen-inch Carrera wheels with a seal-gray tint, and a revised six-speed shifter with a fifteen-percent shorter throw. The special edition features GT silver metallic paint, a color borrowed from the Carrera GT supercar. The cloth soft top, interior leather trim, and carpeting is a special cocoa brown color. The car arrives in Porsche dealerships in March 2004, priced at $59,900.

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
All mixed do know what to, say you turn around and find a rich person to buy it for you
Not saying that the boxster is a bad car... I'd love to have one... but 6 extra horse power... whoopteedooo (I always wondered how to spell that).
We all know Porsche could put that car over 300hp easily.

From my Porsche Speedster days and I think today the max. Hp and 0-60 mph mind set is not the issue. I remember that the smoothness of a precision machine as you shifted through the gears and the effortless cornering was the joy of driving one. You almost felt as if the car anticipated your next move. I did have a chance to drive a Boxer S a year ago and it gave me the same kind of ride. The max Hp and 0-60 is for a different mindset. eddie

That thing was phenomenal.
