Exclamation 2010 Genesis Coupe

I know its a Hyundai, but they've come a long way since the 80's and 90's, especially after the new Sonata came out. This is the coupe version of the Genesis sedan which has a V8 thats rated at 375hp. The coupe version gets a turbocharged I4 thats has 223hp as its base engine and a 3.8L V6 which is rated at 310hp. Pretty impressive stuff..

Korean cars are definitely much better these days. I would happily buy a new Genesis coupe or a Kia Soul .

My friend was telling me that the 4 cyl turbo version uses an EVO engine that is mounted differently, and of course detuned. Any truth to this?

The V8 version with a manual tranny would be SWEEEEET!

Imagine a V8 version of an Impreza? Holy fun batman!!!

BTW, I'd totally drive one but the first mod I'd do is to remove all the Hyundai badges... I'd still be embarrassed to tell people that I drove a Hyundai... I know I'm not alone here! hahaha

Korean cars have def come a long way since the 80's... Hell, they have come a long way in the past 10 years! Leaps and bounds over what they had 10 years ago. I'm glad to see them stepping it up and not cheaping out on everything.

Remember, Japanese cars were pieces of crap when they were first introduced, but that soon changed. If you want to sell a car, you need to make it something people will want, and not something people are forced to buy because it's the cheapest out there.

Cheap cars sell, but not nearly as well as inexpensive cars that have a reputation for being great cars. There's a difference between cheap and inexpensive. Our Impreza base model is inexpensive, a kia is cheap.

It's not a smart buy at all since Hyundai has terrible resale value.

My friend was telling me that comparing the engine of the Hyundai to the Evo X is like comparing the Eclipse 4G63 to the Evo's 4G63. Dunno if there's any truth behind that or not though.

the engine comes from a joint venture among DaimlerChrysler, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi, called GEMA, for Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance.

but the thing that makes an impreza so nice is that it has an H4 and can beat a V8. If it had a v8, it would be like over compensating.
