I expect we won't see anything except cosmetic changes until the big redesign in 2006, assuming Subaru follows a 4-year plan. 2006 should be interesting, I assume they'll use the new 5-speed transmission that's going into the 2005 Legacy. I care a lot more about a solid transmission (and hopefully better gearing) than whether or not it gets the detuned 2.5 turbo that the Forester and Baja are getting. It's all speculation at this point, of course, I have no idea what they'll do or when.

 

A redesign in 2006 would be a bit early don't you think? Let's face it, the 2004 line-up was basically a redesign. Hopefully Sube will not do anything drastic until 2008 so people can enjoy their cars.

 

New headlights do not constitute a redesign. The car is exactly the same as the 02s and 03s with the exception of cosmetic changes. Many carmakers change the front and rear ends of some of their cars every year, but that hardly means they have a 1-year redesign cycle.
