Thought the WRX won the most fun to drive!! So what car won this year?? And what did the focus win? in my book that car sucks all around my brother has one doesnt even get good gas mileage.
Well, in SoCal, there are Prius-es every where. I'd say that i see at least 3 a week. And i mean the new one, not the outgoing model.

The surprising cars on that list are actually the Infiniti G35 (not special enough to win 2 years in a row -- they develop lots of problems, fast), the Honda S2000 and that Corvette -- how could they give a "PC" award to the fuel-sipping Prius and then also applaud that 18-MPG gas-guzzling fiberglass monster?

I would guess G35 because of nice specs for the money, the Corvette because they stuffed a bunch of techy garbage into it and it was Americans (who love thier junk) that voted, and the S2000 just cause people love it for some reason.
If they would offer a Focus with better specs (that was manufactured in the Germany plant) I would consider purchasing one. But I agree, I don't see why the US version of the Focus would make it on the list except that it is an affordable american compact car that ist as big a piece of garbage as the rest.
Suby has had it's run in the sun and now people outside of the Northern states, Canada and Europe actually consider a Suby a viable option, so I'm not too offended at not seeing one on the list.

I've driven the G35, and while it is a NICE ride in terms of the interior and overall power, it has Nissan build quality -- the one I drove was less than 8 months old and it had rattles, a broken rear door handle and was on its second CD player. It also does not handle well at all for a car with Skyline roots; not "boatlike" but definitely not as crisp or responsive as my WRX. Lots of body roll and sway, and a long turning radius.
Look at that list overall -- only 14 American cars! (I am being generous; with all of the auto industry mergers, a lot of those cars are only 1/3 American). Where is the Dodge Neon SRT? They drove TWO SUZUKIS?? No Mercedes, Volkswagen or Porches in the top ten? TWO Hondas, but not a single Volk? And they didn't drive the STI, even though it is priced well below some of the cars in their top ten...
... I'll have to go with the monkey on this one.

Time to read up!
While it is true that the Focus cars are clearly heavily modified from stock, the Focus cars still rely on a lot of Ford off-the-shelf technology, and the original Focus frame, body shape, a stock transmission and many similar parts. Furthermore, Ford was able to field a race-winning rally car in a shocking 11 months from drawing board to dirt, which is extremely impressive. If Colin "McCrash" McCrae hadn't somehow lost his edge and gotten fired, there would be Focus cars in the 1 and 2 slots for WRC right now.My heart is with the Subaru/Prodrive team, but you have to give Ford credit for building a fantastic little rally car -- and a lot of that technology is going to find its way back to the street, eventually.
