Question 06 WRX faster then 05 WRX?

I herd from a few people that they are just the same, dont know if its true since the 05 has a 2.0L and 06 has 2.5L flat 4's. And i think i saw a video somewhere on the net that a pro driver took an 05 and 06 WRX on the track and for both cars the 1/4 mile came out about the same. This bothers me cuz i had people arguing with me and i dont know if its true or not.

What is your definition of "faster'? are you looking at top speed? 1/4 mile? 0-60? 0-100- back to 0?

The 06 has better low end torque. But that does not necessarily = "faster". You really should define your question more thoroughly.

you fawking n00b, the badges on the back weigh it down and the badge on the grille screws up the aerodynamics and makes it act like a brick. do a god damned search!

neither of those make it faster though. I believe the hearing of the tranny is still the same

is the gearing in the 06 tranny different? Its understandable that they'd make the gears wider, but I wasnt aware they changed the actual gearing
