you got him. if he were to have an aftermarket DP than you may have issues though. ive heard that with only a DP, fuel pump, anf fuel cut defender a DSM can bolt on 100hp. it was in import tuner a few months ago.

OMG that is mad HP for very little money. The GSX is a very tunable car.

You'll take him. My friend has a stock GS-T with auto transmission. He only ran 16.1 in the 1/4 mile. They're fast, but too heavy IMHO. Stock for stock, you've definitely got him.

If he doesn't have a MBC you will be fine. I had a 91 GSX with a boost gauge, MBC nset to 19 psi, and broken exhaust (broke at the flex in the downpipe) that ran 13.8. I think the record was a guy that had an exhaust and MBC ran a 12.7. Those things are fast and much easier to get power out of than the WRX.

92 and 94 manual trans had the same turbo, TDO4 14B from Mitsubishi. The autos had 13B's. The 2G's, 95 on, had T25's.

BS. Well yes, they say don't go over 16 psi. I borrowed a freind's datalogger and everything looked good at 19, so that's what I ran. You have to remember, DSM computers also aren't nuts like WRX's. You can do pretty much whatever you want and it won't put up a fight.

It's actually not the motor that is the problem, it is the drivetrain. There are plenty of guys running around with 400 hp on the stock block. I know a guy who has 140000 on his 91 running 11.1. He has been thru 3 tranies though.

I had about 6000 into mine not including body work and had it running low 11's. Here are a couple pics
