$100 budget
I am looking for a gift for my husband, and the only thing he is really interested in is his car of course!! It is going to be his first Father's Day and I am hoping you all can give me some ideas. (Hopefully he doesn't look at this or he will know it was me!)

If you could answer a couple of questions this might be easier:
Would it be consumable or short lived like a day carting or something that would last longer like a radar detector?
Would he like something mechanicl to improve the cars performance? Is he mechanically inclined?
Wrx related apparel gift like a Jacket or Hat?

A jacket is a good idea, but I think he would prefer something to improve the performance. He just got the Cobb stage 2 reflash done. I guess he is mechanically inclined as he installed his turbo back and i/c hoses. I personally prefer upgrading the looks of the car, so for x-mas I got him the sti grill and hoodscoop. I guess I am just running out ideas that do not cost a lot!!

ideas
Mechanically for under 100- Use ebay or try this stuff
some front and rear strut bar kits run like 110
rear end links 50-115
Front endlinks 50 (White line)
Axxis ultimate brake pads or Hawk brake pads (HP+) to compensate for more power (do fronts first) Autoartechnology(?) google them, near by and sell pads cheap
STI engine trany mount kit can be found from some places or i-club members for 100 or so
Asthetics- a bit tougher not my realm but:
Clear corner lights, of carbon fiber (faux) covers for corner
STI or like foglight covers
window Tint can be done for about 150

maybe not such a good idea
for a new dad this might be pushing it a bit but---
Unlimited laps (unlimitedlaps.com)
ANd
Nasa Proracing (nasaproracing.com)
Meberships both about 35$ and they give you access to all sorts of driving schools and track days, learn to master the car and the power...but a new dad on a race track could be a tough sell to his wife...its a tough sell to my girlfriend and we dont have kids

These are great ideas!! He is actually looking at racing his car in some sort of open road thing in NV this summer. I told him there is no way I would go with him since we have a baby now.
What are end links?? I must admit I have learned a lot since we got this car, but somethings I still have no idea what they are or what they are for!
We already have the carbon fiber corner light covers, tint, and fog light covers...

endlinks are at the end of the sway bars, the stock ones are plastic with rubber bushings they flex alot and that limits the action of the sway bar resulting in more body roll and slower turn in.
THe after market ones are metal with poly bushings, once installed the car will turn in off center quicker and roll less in the corners its quite noticable and fairly simple to install

try this link:

whiteline are the cheapest and you could do front and rear on your budget, some people dont like them but for street driving they are a great step up

Here's what I think he wants, in order of precedence (a little over the $100 limit):
1. Kartboy short shifter w/bushings, $125 total, have someone install it for cheap or free
2. Hawk HPS front brake pads, $80 and Goodridge stainless steel brake lines, $99
3. Whiteline adjustable sway bar, $145 and endlinks, $110 (probably could get a package deal somewhere)
4. WRC 2002 Reloaded DVD if you can find it
Hope that helps!
