I'm really happy with the 06-07 WRX 4pot/2pot combo on the RS as well. It's a significant upgrade from the OEM RS brakes and only cost me ~$650 for the set plus new Hawk HPS pads for the fronts. I did have to throw down for the Kartboy brackets, but it's well worth it IMHO. The STi Brembos would be nice, but the cost kept me from pursuing that route.

Yeah, I only paid $550 for the front and rear set (including all bolts, lines, pads, and rotors) at the Rancho Cordova Subaru Recycler (though I had a friendly hookup from Sybir 
). I think they were looking for $600 for the set but they knocked it down to $550 'cause Sybir knew the guy and we bought a ton of stuff. Plus, they only had 4-5K miles on them. I bought the Kartboy brackets for the rear and put them on the FXT as-is. When the FXT was totaled, I grabbed them back off the car, slapped some new Hawk HPS pads on the fronts and stuck them on the RS.
