We learned this in college psych... when you look to the right you're tapping into your visual cortex and remembering real memories, when you look to the left you're lying.

However, if someone looks you straight in the eye when remembering something, they're probably lying. People look away to take you out of the picture, put themselves back into the situation, and remember.
