I was wondering what you guys thought about the new thread stating the new rules. I understand some of them are more like guidelines and principles, but there are a few that I feel should be edited or removed.

17. Lowballing in the Marketplace is not allowed. This includes comments on price, where to get it cheaper or any inflammatory remarks. i-club.com is in no way responsible for any transaction that takes place through this site.

This rule needs to be changed. Let's be honest, no one wants to pay more than they have to. Some guy on Craigslist is trying to sell his "L" for $6500. I immediately told him, in a nice way ofcourse, that he would be lucky if he got $2500.

20. Multiple screen names is strictly forbidden. Any member found to be posting under two screen names will be set to Troll Mode for a minimum of 7 days and the additional accounts will be removed. Any repeat offense of this rule will result in a permanent ban of the member.

That needs to be changed, too. How about putting Excessive number of multiple screen names.

3. Absolutely no postings of nudity or sexually explicit materials. This site is "work friendly" and any images or avatars deemed unacceptable will be removed.

What is going to happen to IHOP? That's the only reason why I visit the Hawaii threads.

 

I do believe that there should be rules in place, but some of these rules/guidelines are not well written.

#3 (no nude pics yada yada yada) has always been a rule, just never enforced.

 

i agree with most of it. the nudity should apply to all but IHOP. lowballing is business and in the world of business lowballing happens, nothing anyone can do about that.

so can a vendor not have a personal name on here? that would be multiple screen names?

 

I also think the lowballing thing should be removed. If someone is offering me a part for $100 and someone else tells me its only worth $25 I'd be very happy, and the person trying to rip me off gets what they deserve
