I was on my way to cache creek in my brothers silverado and saw a cgm 05 STi with a wingless trunk. Took a couple pics while driving with one hand, just curious if anyone knows him or if he's on here.

Why is it important to block out the license plate #?

 

Its not... You can go outside and see all the lic plates you want. You can exactly do much with them unless you're a cop. lol

 

If you're showing off your car as a nice car and trying to get people to look at the picture, it's smart to block out the plate. You're putting it out there to a larger audience and in a blatant "look at me manner" that's more likely to attract the attention of people such as car thieves.

Yes there is the risk of getting criminals' attention just while driving, but posting online the I formation needed to get your address greatly increases the risk of car theft.
