My Aunt was on the board of directors up there. She passed away last year in the valley, She was also the longest volunteer in the par at over 45 years.

I grew up in the summers backpacking and climbing. I was going to see inf people wanted to get a group togther one weekend for a meet up there.

I bet the water is low in the river too...
Let me know if you have any questions.

So Yosemite was insanely beautiful. Glad I got to go out there.

Not one bit of haze from the fires, everything was so clear and beautiful.
Went on some hikes and did a lot of kicking back. But over all I was most impressed with seeing half dome from glacier point or peak or whatever its name is .. That was truly stunning.

I was going to say hiking to half dome from the valley floor is pretty damn tough.

Yeah, that view is definitely a must.

Next time I go there I am going the hike to half dome. I love hiking/backpacking and all that so one day it would be cool to do a hike up there and camp if they allow it.

Couldn't do the hike this time, not enough time (3 nights) and spent most the time with my fiance's parents exploring stuff they could do (they are in their 50's both with bad backs so some stuff was limited)

But I will say even with the low water levels I really want to learn fly fishing and go back there. I normally fish with a standard pole setup but watching my future father in law fly fish looked so fun when he hooked up a few rainbow trout.

Most cherished Yosemite memory: going back to my cabin at like, 10pm, firing up the lamp, blowing my nose, looking into the tissue and seeing a big ol' glop of black goo that came from outta my nose. Curry Village campfires FTW!

my dad was up there for like 2 weeks for a photo trip. got back last week. Said it was great up there.

My first time up there was spring a couple years ago. After a big winter. The falls were GOING OFF!!

I did a LOAD of hiking. Did that loop around mirror pond at that trail that goes up and over to the next valley. Didn't go all the way over but when you get up that trail you can really see everything. Bunch of of the other fall hikes and what not. No half dome though.

I still haven't been out there. But I'm definitely planning on it. Me and the wife will make it a couple days. She wants to hike half dome, I told her hell no! She can barely walk up a beach trail to get from the beach back up to the road. I don't know how she thinks she could do a hike up half dome.
