just found these on closeout.
its just too bad theyre a bit too wide for my wheels.
but im sure theres plenty of you guys on here that run 245/45/17
going at 69.00 each instead of the regular 131.00
plus shipping of 45 from reno,nv
comes out to be a pretty good *** deal.
just a heads up for everyone that needs tires.

245/45/17 is incorrect due to wrong height. With 245/45 it's .7 inch over size in diameter.
You should have bought 245/40-17. Stock 2.5rs, Impreza WRX and STI is 25 inch overall height.
225/45-17, 245/40-17, 255/40-17 is what's recommended because those are 25" or same as factory tire height so it won't throw off your speedo..

Stock at 60mph, this tire would be 61.9mph. That's not enough to really be a big deal.
My setup"
stocker wheels: 205/40/16 = 22.5" so for me I'm going 54.2mph. That's a little more drastic.
Wide wheels: 255/40/18 = 26" so on these i'm going 62.8mph. Smaller, IMO, insignificant difference.
Over 10,000 miles my 16s would have actually traveled 970 extra miles for 10,970.
Over 10,000 miles my 18s would have actually traveled 460 less miles for 9,340.

While I'm rolling 205 65 16's so about 28.5"= about 15% taller.
When my odometer says I'm getting 22 mpg I'm really getting 24.2.
But when my speedometer says I'm going 70 I'm really going 77, gotts to be careful...

Just an FYI, these tires aren't really good at all... Def sub-par at best. I was really disappointed with these when I had them on my old WRX.
You're WAAAAAY better off getting some Hankook RS2's, and for most sizes you can get them for under $100 each and they grip sooooooo much better then the ES100's. There's a night and day difference between the two tires.
