sometimes you can hear all the talk on the news, but you need to visualize it to understand how bad the recession is getting. Hope all you guys stay safe if you got a good job, its gonna get alot uglier

 

but there are more jobs to lose now, compared to 2001 and 1990 where there were1/2 as many jobs and office buildings

the other problem with the jobs losses is that these are only the reported job losses.. Remember there are a load of people working under the counter that are losing the jobs too and I am not just talk about illegals.

Yeah, the economy seems to be burning to ash, but that graph is conveniently alarmist by omitting all the other years that dip at or below the current recession.

 

sweet i like the second set of graphs

 

i expect to see the current trend line to look more drawn out and protruded like the two most recent recessions. we continue to introduce more and more leverage in to the system and it takes that much longer for recovery. don't expect a snap back, especially with the treasury taking on more leverage.
