Yup the Banana is quick that is for sure. He told me that he stays in 4th gear most the time on his stock tranny.

Well if you are just talking blocks than the correct term would be shortblock that is w/o the heads. with heads it is a long block. I just said short block because that was the modification done to the engine.

hmmm... i always thought it was the LENGTH.

for example an I-6 would be a long block and a V6 would be a shorty.

Well, I would imagine that if your are going to achieve maximum hp, then I would go with the 2.4 closed deck because it is just a stronger block all the way around. But we will have to see if there is more potential with the 2.5 semi-closed deck.
