Pareng Judd,
I had the Roady2 on two cars. Only have one left. They lasted short of two years from wear and tear ( I used to unplug/plug from the cars into a boombox). The one I have left is in the Mazda and works ok. I ended up getting a Roady XT a month ago with a good XM deal. So far so good in the Bimmer. I have it connected via RCA cables from the XM to the rear AUX input in my Alpine. Clear as CD's !
If you need any help, LMK via e-mail.

Rob!
I think the XT is a good unit too and since it comes with the boombox from best buy. It going to be between the xpressRC or Roady XT. Now my car has an AUX input. Would I need anything else to connect? They both have the FM transmitter included.
Thanks!

Judd,
If you can go the AUX way, do it. The FM transmitter isn't that good. Quality is lower then when you travel long distances, your head unit starts picking up a station and the XM disappears. It used to happen to me on the SM bridge on the way to OAK for autocross. I'd head up the rise, some radio station would enter, then after going down the rise, back to XM. Weird ! LOL!
To go the AUX way, you'll need a cable (Radio Shack) , depending on your AUX in on your head unit.

Good luck pare !

ALL of the xm receivers should be adaptable to either RCA ends or 1/8" terminals.
only the OEM receivers that use the proprietary connectors for each makers are the next to impossible.
correction: my original XM receiver that uses the sony UNILINK bus system is another. i guess that goes the same for alpine, pioneer, etc that uses an add-on chassis.
(been an XM sub since it first came out...)
now waiting for the XM and sirius merger to happen and finally get a new receiver than will receive both services' content.

Well, I ordered the Roady XT from Amazon for $118 with free shipping. Circuit City and Best Buy did not have it in the stores yet, only online but it would be around $140.
Would a boombox for this unit be recommended?
