is that an intercooler or no in the engine picture? it has no airflow?

its a water cooled intercooler

 

Yeah, water to air intercooler... It has airflow, you just cant see the pipe that feeds in to the throttle body because its surrounded by that tank.

 

jeez, this eyesore again...

 

hurts my soul.

 

Air to water intercooler, far far more effective and better than our air to air units, but a great deal more money to put in.

If he wasn't asking what he is, I might even consider it. Its not that bad looking, and its unique, doesn't look like every other STI out there.

 

For me it`s poor taste, but others might find it hot.

 

I can see where some might not like it. I guess my biggest problem with the subie crowd, is our cars all look alike! its a cookie cutter mentality of "don't change it too much or your rice" kind of attitude.

One of many reasons why I went with the forester, its different, not everyone has one.
