I read it somewhere they are going to market this in the future. No flat tires they say. I wonder how they would make it prettier though

The open sidewalls are only for demo purposes; the actual production models will have closed sidewalls just like any other tire.

few months old but, they are called tweels. still years off, but they are more for military applications etc.

Someone posted about these a few months back on i-Club; can't remember what area though, may have been is2scoobys area. I'll try and find it though because it also had some pictures of large trucks and even ATVs outfitted with these things. Crazy.

They should close the sidewall, becuase what if mud and rocks get in it and make it all heavy and uneven.
