Its not that it breaks functionality for me, that's a minor inconvenience, its that it is trying to pass itself off as legitimate user generated content. what makes the community a community is all of us posting 99.9% bull**** and that .1% useful content.

this system is pretending to be legitimate content in order to fool people into clicking/reading... in essence, lying to people in order to attempt to make a sale.

Agreed. Ad's are one thing and are unavoidable these days. But this kind of BS is unacceptable.

why does/did it need to become corporate? basic forums like this aren't that expensive each year to keep up and running. usually the only reason it happens is because the owners loose interest in the website and dont want to pay to keep it so they sell advertising rights so they dont have to pay. it would be better if the owner just sold the website to someone who still has passion for the cars and wants to keep the site free. on another forum i was on they sold upgraded memberships so the members wouldnt have to put up with the bulls*** ads from products/companies they dont care about and would never buy. the only ads we should be seeing are for the local shops that support the site

It became corporate when the original owner, Alex, sold i-club off to a corporate entity. It hasn't been the same since.

WERD!

I have made some issues known to admin/owners in the passed and they don't seem to give a crap. But it was a good move for Alex.
