WTBorrow: Wheels with snow/winter tires ASAP!

Okay... I ASSUMED my tires were at least all seasons, but I was wrong. Going to the snow from Sat-Sun and would like to borrow a set of wheels with snow/ice tires. Let me know your rate, and I can also put up my wheels as collateral.

Give me a PM or text at 510-396-0475. I would need to meet up with you sometime after 5pm tomorrow.

Thanks!

FWIW, I have driven in some very bad conditions in summer tires...I wouldn't recommend it...but this weekend wont be so bad that you need snow tires. Around lake level it supposed to rain anyways.

+1. If you're aware of weather and road conditions, you'll be fine. I did it on summers with a full car.

Then again, we don't know where he's going.

Better to be safe than assume guys.
I took my brand spankin new all season bridgestones up to kirkwood and ill say it was damn near a death trap.

Investing in winter tires and cheap wheels just for that reason and so I can put summer tires on my rex now instead of mediocre performance all seasons.

Straight up did a 4 wheel powerslide into the enterence of kirkwood in front of a chp cause my tires wernt gripping.

Never trust tirerack reviews. Those things were #1 in ultra high performance all season when I bought them now they are like #6. Switched from conti dws which handle great in the slush. Now going to conti dw for dry wet commuting action.

Thanks for the input, guys. Yeah, I'd like to be on the more safer side on this one.

+1. I went up the other month when roads were (almost all) clear on Pilot Super Sports. I got to some snow on a back road and it got instantly scary. Had to chain up the fronts just to get up a shallow hill.

Was up last weekend in the storm with Blizzaks. Didn't blink.
