UK n00b - Pm'd you about the gearset.

thanks everyone. I've got to drop off the rental car today and then I'm calling gruppe-s to see what they have.

The actual case is pretty hard to damage correct? So theoretically I could just swap in a new gearset and be ready to go?

If he was driving I don't see why you have to pay for it.. Maybe a 50/50. Doesn't seem right in my book.

No, I'm responsible for all the damages. Full Function had me sign a waiver stating this.

The waiver you signed was intended for tuning related problems like him blowin up your motor...not joy riding around...NO?

Atleast he or FF should drop the storage fees.

Call Gruppe-S.

Nows maybe a time to upgrade

hmmmm interesting... so you go to business for their services but they are not responsible for any and all outcomes while performing these services? just doesn't sound right.

Whats dumb is that the stuff happened during a JOY RIDE,...not the dyno tuning for which the tuner was contracted.

I'll stop now before i get all stirred up....

Best of luck to everyone.

Everyone on this board should know all about the reputation of WRX trannies by now. They're known for being fragile, and these cars are driven hard, so any damage to that transmission was most likely caused by previous abuse. Chances are that it was a ticking time bomb, and I doubt that Shiv was responsible for any of the damage caused to that car. It seems like Skyliner is handling the matter just fine, you guys really need to learn how to be helpful without instigating arguments.

Might have something to do with this car having a STI bottom end and a SR50 and probably making enough TQ for the tranny to cry..

No doubt in my mind that the responsibility of this breakage is totaly on Subaru so I say sue them for the ****ty WRX tranny....

That kinda adds some spice to the story.

It would be nice PR to dump the storage fees tho.
