can i try some when you do get a bottle?

funny story with king louie 13. friend's dad had a bottle with some left inside. i saw it and asked if i can just get a tiny sip. just couple drops. he said go ahead, so a couple of us tried it. my first reaction was, "what's so special? it tastes just like the regular remy martin." friend asked his dad the next day, and he said he drank all of it already and was just using the bottle for the regular remy martin.

let me know how it tastes. i think one of these days i'm gonna cough up couple hundred bucks for a shot.

Only the barrels are ~400 years old. The actual cognac is 40-100 years old.

You might think I'm joking but some Ranch99's sell the high end stuff. I know that the Milpitas Ranch99 had postings on their wall above their customer service and I think some were like $6K a bottle or something insane like that. You probably wouldn't expect it from a place like Ranch99 but it's probably not a bad deal considering their liquor prices aren't too bad.

If you're really serious about getting a bottle of Louis XIII, my friend owns a liquor store. He might be able to help you out.

However, if you're spending that kind of money on a fine Cognac, I'd pick a bottle of Hennessy Richard over the Louis XIII...

There's no way. Are you serious? That's a real website?
