Does anyone know where I can find an AWD Impreza L 2 door? I am looking for a friend who needs a car soon, but we havn't had luck finding one yet. Lower the miles the better.... We're in Sacramento.

Adam of I-speed/LICmotorsport has just completed a conversion on an Impreza L coupe...a customer of his converted a mid 90's L AWD coupe to a full 2000 RS driveline....now it's a 2.5 RS!!

Took me 6 months to find mine

However I did see one a couple weeks ago for sale at a used car lot downtown by that ford dealership. It was teal green.

 

As Andrew (RS TURBO) said, I've recently completed a MY00 2.5 conversion on a MY95 L. It began life as a 1.8 FWD and only has around 67k miles on the odometer. But, the customer started this project over 3 years ago, so the engine & driveline of the MY00 donor car only have around 20k miles.

As it turns out the customer doesn't want the car anymore. I have the car in my possession and may be selling it in the near future. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Nothing against green, but I don't think it's exactly my friend's fave color. Just searching through the ads, we found a nice L Brighton, but it's in a town off highway 101 in Southern California

Have you been picking up all the weekly autotrader/autoweek type used car thingies? Also check the Sierra College used car sale every once in awhile... (its every weekend)

 

No, we've just been looking at autotrader online. I'll have a look at the store for one of those used car listings.

I've been to the sierra college thing. Maybe I'll stop by there too.

HAHA, we found a nice L in central California and will hopefully be driving down there this weekend to get it if the loan BS works out. Hopefully we'll have a new member by next week

Thanks for the tip off. There was one 2 door L listed today, the rest were Automatic transmission sedans or misc. wagons. We called up the guy with the 2 door and he said it has 160,000 miles (contrary to the ad) and it has a salvage title, transmission needs work, etc. Oh well. We are probably going down to look at the Brighton and hopefully get it on Sunday.
