Impala SS AutoX GM6 : WHAT are you looking to do here? Be honest with yourself, as I see folks spending too much $$$ to end up with something that doesn't do what they REALLY want......just so they can say "I have coilovers"
Just a lowered ride? If so, change springs and be done with it.
Better handling, while still "somewhat" comfortable? Then something with fairly mild spring rates
All-out handling, ride be damned? Well, the JICs that stratos is selling fit that bill . BTW, I paid about $700 more than that for my (new) JICs last December, aka this is one screaming deal!
I am actually looking for better handling and of course rasing and lowering would help when i load the car down.. So, i am looking for overall suspension performance. -=)

Something about TEIN that I like...they are a SUSPENSION ONLY company. I love my RA's...but they aren't for the faint at heart!
Springs is a 1/2 **** job...why not do it right and get a set of quality coil overs?

Yes, but they are designed that way. The RA's aren't really meant for the street. They are a RACECAR suspension. Meant for the circuit.
Cusco's Zero 2R's are for sissy wannabes that are watered down, and given the "R" label so wimps like Travis can bragg about them like he is a racer...sheesh!

Actually they are about the same. Except the Cusco's are a lil smoother on the freeway, but when it comes to corners they are sick!!!!
So, now which is better...looking like a frik'n HONDA...bumping around the road with CUT springs? Or being smooth looking like a High end sports car with sweet, sport suspension? And kicking **** on the track!

whats the difference between the cusco zero-2's and the zero-2R's? Also can someone answer me about the zero-2's that this guy is selling off his wagon, will they work perfectly on a sedan or are wagon/sedan aftermarket coilovers different?

Hey man, the coilovers will work on the Wagon. The only wagon specific one is the Tein Type Wagon Damper. But these will fit. You just have to zip tie the brake line or something like that. Not a big deal. As far as the difference between zero 2's and zero 2R's is I think the R's have more damping adjustment.

k thnx. Just making sure cause i dont want to buy his coilovers that are a wagon now and not have them work for my sedan. Also aside from coilovers are the struts the same for wagon and sedans? He also has cusco front and rear struts that i want, so will they work on my sedan?

Sedan coilovers in a wagon
OK, here's the deal....
It will bolt in 100%. This includes brakeline clips, tops, camber bolts, etc.
Front will work as advertised, as the sedan and wagon strut lengths in front are very similar.
In back, you'll have to REALLY stretch out the coilover (i.e. adjust it for a "high" ride height) to make the car sit level. This is because the OEM wagon rear strut is longer (by approx 1.25") compared to the OEM sedan rear strut. Put another way, if you were to install the coilover such that it'd give a "level" ride height in a sedan you'll have a "lowrider" stance (i.e. rear bumper hangin low....REAL low
) on the wagon.
Net result : it'll work, but you'll loose a decent chunk of your ride height adjustment because you'll have to adjust the front coilover "short" and rear coilover "long" to get it to work.
Doing the above, the JIC coilovers (for a sedan) work perfectly in my wagon.

And also the cusco struts are currently on a wagon right now, if i buy them off the guy will they work on a sedan both the front and rear or will only the front work since wagon and sedan are diff in the rear....

the guy you are buying them from...is he local, to you? If so try to put the strut tower braces on first...before you buy them. It's only 3 nuts on each side
If he is not local and no one can answer your question...call a vendor. Gruppe-s, MPJ, Bozz, ect.
Also, find out if he adjusted anything on them. I bought my Cusco's and they came pre-set...I havnt changed that. Some people will change the height incorrectly!! They should only be lowered or raised by the bottom of the coilover...NOT BY THE SRINGS!!!!!
Anyway, shoot me a PM or email if you want more specifics on height adjustment. But you need to know if and how they were adjusted. Once you mess with the spring load, it changes everything.

yea the guy is local, some of you guys probbaly have seen him around. White wagon that used to have JUN stickers all over it. He has gold gram lights for wheels. I dont think hes touched the coilovers at all for adjustment but he has all his work done at either gruppe-s or bozz he said. Also can someoen clarify my above post, thnx.
**** lol i might be confusing everyone. When i say struts i am meaning the strut BARS. So will the struts bars on his wagon fit up and work perfectly on my sedan?

Oh yeah, I know that guy...he's cool. I met him at BOZZ one time
Find out what the shops did to the coilovers and how they did it....Like I said you dont want to mess with the springs!! That is not the correct way to adjust the height.
