Most leg extension attachments suck ***. They are only good on really high end machines.

I still prefer the gym. Bowflex doesn't have enough exercises for me (nor does it have enough weight!).

all costcos (at least the ones I went to) have bowflex for sale. It's the Bowflex Power Pro for about $1399. Don't know which version of the power pro that it is, but most likely one of the top 3 in the version.

yeah, read it on CNN this morning and thought of this thread.

text from cnn.com:

"The voluntary recall affects about 420,000 Bowflex Power Pro XL, XTL, and XTLU systems distributed by Nautilus Direct of Vancouver, Washington.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the machine's backboard bench can unexpectedly collapse when being used in the incline position.

There also are problems with the "Lat Tower," which attaches to the back of the bench and has a metal bar that the user can pull down to strengthen the upper body. "

Don't get the Bowflex!
You can not hang as much clothes on it as you can a decent stationary bike or a Healthrider.
My wife made me get the health rider and it can hold a bunch of unfolded laundry!
