I just caught the end to a Quaker State commercial with a Silver STI as the main car. It had Gold looking horses running beside it made up of what I assume was supposed to be the oil.
Anyone else seen this? It looked pretty cool

ooooh I just saw it Sweet!

 

yeah i saw that too..... was thinking "hey, thats an STI! SWEET!"

and the best part is they played that commercial during the Daytona 500..... whose viewers tend to think of wrx's and sti's as "rice"

Putting an STI in a motor oil commercial shows that, if anything, WRX's are getting more and more respects from the V8 crowd. Almost every Mustant or V8 guy I know loves our cars.

 

yea i seen it when i was wacthing the race the sound effects of the motor are like a V8 kinda funny but good commercial

 

Actually somebody at Quaker State must be a fan of Subaru's. They ran ads on the spanish channels for quaker state that had a GC-8 in it.

 

I think that Q state wants some of the business we're all giving to Mobil1 too...

 

They also played the commercial during car & driver. I liked how they mentioned the 300 horsepower of the STi. It was almost like a dual commercial.

 

Good thing Subaru's are made in Australia!
